Chris joined Rainbow’s End in 1991 as Manager of what is now the Attractions Department while studying part-time.
In 1995 he left to join the New Zealand Police working in South Auckland in a variety of areas over the next seven years. While in the Police Chris completed his Diploma in Policing, his Sergeants exams and qualified as a Youth Aid officer.
Chris was approached to rejoin the Rainbows End team in October 2002 as Operations Manager.Chris worked in this position for approximately five years before being promoted to the General Manger’s position.
As General Manager, Chris reports to the New Zealand Experience Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall performance of Rainbow’s End.
Chris can be contacted for any executive matters relating to the park. On a personal note, Chris is married with two boys and likes to spend free time with friends and family while his two sons like to spend their free time at Rainbows End!
Operations Manager

A new position created in 2002 as a deputy to the General Manager. Focusing on Human Resources, training and day to day operations, Ross’s role is to see that Rainbow’s End team meet the goals and standards we have set out in this code of conduct.
Ross will fulfil Duty Manager shifts and be responsible for the Park in the absence of the General Manager.
Previously Ross was the owner of Auckland Adventures Ltd for 13 years a small flexible Tour & Adventure company. Ross has extensive experience in Travel/Tourism, Ciutomer Service & Hospitality, Human Resources and Health & Safety. Previous roles included working for Haagen Dazs Ice Cream Restaurant, Heathrow Airport London, Seaworld Australia, Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove, Claridges Hotel & The Landmark Hotel London.

Marketing Manager

Katharine is the department head of Group Sales and Marketing.
Katharine looks after the Rainbow’s End brand, which includes all advertising and signage both inside and outside the park, our website, special events such as Halloween and liaison with journalists and film crews. She will also oversee the Groups business as well as day-to-day dealings with our sponsorship partners and corporate clients.
Retail Services Manager

Nosheen looks after the Retail Services at Rainbow’s End. This includes managing the front gate and guest services counter as well as product sourcing for the merchandise shop.
Since her team are the first people that our guests encounter when they come to the park, they have the important responsibility of the first impression the customer receives.

Lilliah and her team make up the largest department and are responsible for the operation of all the rides at Rainbows End. The attractions team are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all the attractions. Interacting where possible is essential in achieving our goal of being the friendliest attraction.

Image Makers Manager

Ramjula looks after the overall appearance and image of Rainbow’s End to ensure a clean, friendly and safe environment for everyone to enjoy.
The Image Makers Department consists of 30-40 staff members with 6-9 staff who work mid-week. It is one of the most important roles in the park being responsible for cleaning and maintaining a healthy and pleasant environment for everyone in the park.
Work starts at 7:00am, so as the main jobs are done, and the guests can walk into a clean park at 10:00am.
Due to the fact that Cleaners have the most contact with guests, and are asked the most questions by guests, it is important that they have good knowledge of the Park. A cleaner must also be outgoing, friendly, and let the guests know that nothing is too much trouble for them.
The job of cleaning is varied: the cleaner must be energetic, self motivated, and flexible, often being prepared to stay after hours.
The cleaning department takes pride in the very physical but rewarding work that they do, not only keeping the park clean, but contributing to the overall image of the Park, which creates a guests first image of Rainbows End.

As the Finance Assistant, June is responsible for maintaining the accounting and financial records for Rainbows End. June also pays all the staff salaries and wages, does bank reconciliations and daily cash forecasting. June has had extensive experience in accounts and payroll and came to Rainbows End in May 2007.
Conference & Events Coordinator

Her role at Rainbows End involves taking any enquiries and bookings relating to corporate events (day and night functions), team-building and conferences. She is also required to liaise with all departments within Rainbows End, who may need to be involved, to ensure that an event or conference runs as smoothly as possible.

Diane is responsible for doing all the administrative work in the office area which includes reception. She also provides support to all the department heads. Diane ’s job requires her to be one step ahead of things which in return produces a smooth running operation. When the General Manager, Chris Deere is not in the Park, Diane handles all information & communication.
Eliza and Jenna are responsible for taking all the phone enquiries during the weekend periods and also provide administrative support for the Duty Manager during these times.

Dave Manley works alongside Lillah Brown, assisting her in managing the largest department within Rainbows End. The Attractions department operates with approximately 75+ staff all year round, and it is the Attractions managers responsibility to ensure the safe, efficient operation of all the rides within Rainbows End. "We as managers are constantly endeavoring to exceed our guests expectations, and deliver maximum fun and safety all day, everyday, 364 days a year."

The Entertainment department is extremely important to provide our guests with that “special fun” to help ensure they have a fantastic day.
Our Entertainment Supervisors are responsible for the effective day to day operation of the department and the supervision of our Cast Members. During our busy season (from November to February) the Entertainment Supervisor liaises with our Marketing Manager & Groups Co-ordinator to co-ordinate visits by Santa, lolly scrambles and other special events.
